Forest schools have become a popular phenomenon in many primary and preschool settings and we are lucky enough to have our own woodland on site at Sidlesham! 

 

We believe our children gain some fantastic skills through our woodland activities using tools, taking guided risks, enjoying time out of doors in all weathers, caring for the environment and using creativity.

 

Children bring in their wellies for their sessions and wrap up warm, according to the weather.

Research shows spending time in the outdoor environment nurtures children into adults who care about the environment. We firmly believe this is something we need to develop in future generations.

 

Knowledge and self-esteem grows through activities carried out.
