Behaviour
At Sidlesham Primary School, we have three simple rules.

These rules underpin everything we do and help us to create a calm, purposeful environment where all children can learn, feel safe and thrive.
What this means
Ready
We come to school prepared to learn. We listen carefully, try our best and take pride in our work.
Respectful
We treat others with kindness and consideration. We use good manners, listen to others and value everyone in our community.
Safe
We make safe choices so that everyone can learn and feel secure, both in school and beyond.
Our School Culture
Our rules are closely linked to our school values of Ambition, Confidence and Kindness.
We have high expectations for all pupils and support them to meet these expectations every day. Staff use clear routines, consistent language and positive relationships to help children succeed.
We believe that excellent behaviour enables excellent learning.
What This Looks Like in Practice
In our classrooms and around school, this means:
-
Children are ready to learn and engage in every lesson
-
Adults model respectful behaviour and build strong relationships
-
Clear routines support calm and consistent behaviour
-
Pupils are supported to reflect on their choices and learn from them
Where children need additional support, we work closely with families to ensure every child is able to succeed.
Supporting Behaviour
We work in partnership with families to support positive behaviour.
Our approach includes:
-
clear and consistent expectations
-
recognition of positive behaviour
-
calm and structured responses when behaviour falls below expectations
-
support for pupils’ social, emotional and mental health
If you would like to discuss your child’s behaviour or need support, please contact the school.
